“I didn’t know there were Democrats out here!”
We hear that all the time. It’s true, the Oglethorpe County Democratic Committee reorganized in 2004 and has been meeting ever since. Our core of loyal members in this red county is small, but we have opened a headquarters in the center of Crawford every election year since 2008, and we have consistently been contenders in local elections with candidates in all but one of the races in 2016. We had a huge turnout for the January 2017 meeting and every vacant committee post was filled. We look forward to channeling this energy and enthusiasm toward recapturing lost seats in 2018. Current officers are Janet Hill, Chair; Victor Gagliano, Vice Chair; Loretta Morse, Secretary; and Gisela Gresham, Treasurer.  For more information, visit Oglethorpe Democrats on Facebook or call 706-353-7272.
