No More Deportations Rally

May 1, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Athens-Clarke County Democrats stand in solidarity with the immigrant community in opposition to all deportations. We also encourage all to go out to the family-friendly No More Deportations rally and march on May 1st at 5pm at the corner of Prince & Pulaski., hosted by Athens for Everyone and Dignidad Inmigrante En Athens:

May day is International Workers Day. Dignidad Inmigrante en Athens, the Athens Immigrant Rights Coalition, and Athens for Everyone join our voices in the national call to stop all deportations. When a person is removed from their home, the individual and the entire family suffer and our community is in pain.

This is a Family Friendly Event!

Kids should come dress as what they want to be when they grow up!
Dr? Scientist? Teacher? Artist? Rock star?
Kids of all backgrounds will help lead the rally with the solidarity message “Don’t break our families”

Music and Face paint @5 – march begins @ 5:30
